Vaincre les Maladies Lysosomales has announced funding for a new research project benefitting the cystinosis community: Characterization of Respiratory Involvement in Cystinosis in Adults – RESPI-CYS.
The grant is awarded to Professor Hélène PRIGENT, in collaboration with Professor Pascal LAFORET, from the Raymond Poincaré Hospital in Garches, and Doctor Aude SERVAIS, from the Necker Hospital in Paris.
Subject: Prospective clinical study
Research objective: To conduct a prospective pilot clinical study (15 patients). Characterize pulmonary involvement and determine their evolution in adult patients with cystinosis.
